
Over the next 24 hours almost 250 young people from countries all over Europe and Africa will arrive in Lisbon for the Youth Summit. With such diverse backgrounds, languages and experiences the summit looks to be an eventful ocassion full of debate, consensus building and partnership development amongst the participants. For IUSY, it will be an ocassion to 'pander our wares'and push for a progressive agenda especially in relation to trade, economic development issues and the decent work agenda.
IUSY will be chairing two working groups on the 6th. Buy your tickets now as IUSY will be co-chairing with the International Federation of Liberal Youth a working group on 'globalisation, trade and socio-economic development. All the ingredients for an interesting debate which will have participants hopefully on the edge of their seats. IUSY will also be co-chairing the working group on Decent Work for Young People on Thursday.
